I had been looking for an old bike and to purchase it just for the sake of novelty and as an experiment. Finally I was able to get a bmw heinrich from the craigslist at a price of $800. Although the bike does not have much to boast about with hardly good parts and needing a lot of refurbishing but finally I ended up purchasing it. This bmw heinrich is almost as near as you can get to the 60's and 70's bike.
I'll probably have to spend a couple of hundred dollars just to get it in good working condition. Probably would start with a paint job on it first and would then like to get the fuel tank checked as it had some dents. But even this old bmw heinrich kept in the garage looks like a strong and sturdy contender for most of the bikes produced nowadays. Although the engine seems good the tires are a bit worn out so will have to spend atleast couple of days to get this in good condition.
