I got the 91 integra from one of my friends around 6 years back as a substitute to my daily driver in case I got in trouble with my car. Since than this car has slowly taken the place of my other car as a daily driver because of its reliability and overall ride.

This one has already 192,000 miles on it. It is still going great and I have had to do very little major repairs in the past few years with it. Replaced the rear struts and the timing belt once and besides this following the maintenance schedule.

If you want a car for its reliability I believe this is a very good one especially for the college students and young professionals looking to save some cash at the same time use some less expensive upgrades available to increase performance and looks.

Looking forward to keeping this car for at least another few years. This car really gives the bang for the buck and has been a very nice surprise in terms of overall ride. I would the 91 integra (9/10) overall.

Here is a nice youtube video a integra racing a Lamborghini. One of my favorite. Would have loved to see the reaction on the face of the driver afterward.

RATING

1.Performance: (9/10) This is a very good car when looking at the performance aspect. It has a nice power output and feels very stable at 85+ mph. Besides this a major advantage is that it has very cheap upgrades available in the market. So if you want to go for performance upgrade it does not cost much.

2.Comfort: (8/10) overall the 91 integra is quite good however the leg room in the rear is less which makes it a problem if you are having bulky friends in your car which I normally have.

3.Fuel Economy:(8/10) I have been able to get 26 mpg in city and around 30 mpg on highways. For an old car like this I am satisfied with this aspect.

4.Fun to Drive: (9/10) you can really push this car and still this car asks for more. The ride quality of this car is great which makes it a great daily driver.

5.Design: (8/10) It has great exterior design and I really love the moon roof. The only flaw is the lack of cup holders which gets you in messy situation sometimes.

6.Build Quality: (10/10) this is a perfect example of good solid engineering. This car has really taken a beating and from the previous owner also it was handled quite roughly however it still runs smoothly without any sign of problem.

7.Reliability: (10/10) Having 192,000 miles on it and still being used as a daily driver is a really good indication of the reliability of my 91 integra car. I plan to take it to at least 250,000 miles.

PRICE:

The 91 integra coupe is available at $1500 for a RS model and around $1900 for a GS.
The 91 integra sedan is available at $1600 for a RS model and around $2100 for a GS.

TUNING/MODDING:

From my experience which I had with few of my friends in last few years I would recommend to go for suspension and brakes upgrading before you go into engine swap or other major changes. With aem intake, custom exhaust system it can give you significant improvement. Once these basics are over you can go for engine swap.

Another great resource for modding your 91 integra is http://www.hondacarforum.com/acura-technical/

If you are looking for parts you can find it here. I have used this a couple of times and it has been very satisfactory. http://www.autopartswarehouse.com/models/acura~integra~makemodel.html
